Pima YOUTH Partnership Job Description TITLE: Community Development Director-Sells HOURS: Full time SUPERVISED BY: Community Development Team Leader \ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Develop and maintain youth and adult community coalitions using strategic planning, needs assessment, and other relevant coalition processes in assigned areas. * Increase the participation and number of members in the existing Community Resource Network through establishing and maintaining contacts and partnerships with area schools, businesses, families, government entities and youth serving organizations. * Increase the number of adult and youth leaders in the community through coordination and implementation of youth and family programs. * Collect relevant program data and complete all funder and organizational reporting requirements. * Attend organizations' staff meetings, fundraisers and relevant committee meetings as assigned. * Assist the Youth Development Director and Life Skills Educator with life skills education, peer leadership, and community service projects as needed. * Conduct Needs Assessments and Community Surveys as required. * Other duties as assigned by Director of Native American Initiatives and Executive Director. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience * Knowledge of Tohono O'odham culture. * Knowledge of ATOD, Prevention and/or Community Development Theories. * Knowledge of Word, Windows, Excel and Desktop Publishing preferred. * Creative, flexible, team player. * Knowledge of and respect for youth. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Ability to speak/understand Tohono O'odham language preferred. REQUIREMENTS: * Fingerprint Clearance * CPR/ First Aide * Participation in orientation and training as required by PYP. * Driver's License and reliable transportation. * Auto Insurance of $100,000 & $300,000 * Some travel, evenings, weekends required. Bilingual helpful. * Preference given to Tohono O'odham tribal members or their family members living in or from the assigned district(s).
